How to
Keep Your 2007 New
Years Resolutions
Did you resolve to lose weight and get
in shape in 2007?
Would you like to be one of the 4% who
actually achieve their New Years goals?
If you said Yes to those questions,
then the obvious next question is:
How are you going to do it?
You've probably tried a multitude of diets
and exercise programs over the years and yet here you are with the same
problem. Its a real problem too - being overweight - over fat is a
major health issue affecting over 85% of the US population. So,
what's the answer for you?
First, remember that you are an
individual whose dietary and exercise requirements may well differ from
others. That's one reason why mass market diets and exercise
programs may give you short term health results that are difficult or
impossible to maintain.
Second, the odds are high that the
diet and fitness plans you've been using are simply out of date.
Dietary science and fitness technology have come a long way in just the
past couple of years - but most of the big business diet companies are
running a few years behind because they have such an investment in old
tech and marketing.
Example: Back in 1994 -1996, in my
seminars and in the original MBA book, I detailed an eating plan based
on the Glycemic index. Only now is it being touted by many big
name diet companies as the "Glycemic Advantage". The science was
there in the early 90's but not the support from big business.
Solution: In addition the sudden
popularity of the Glycemic index - there's actually good news coming out
of university fitness labs with studies showing that most people don't
need the draconian fitness routines popularized in the last 10 years.
Long cardio and weight workouts are out. These are great for
endurance athletes and bodybuilders but a real pain for the rest of us.
Instead, 3 - 45 minute fitness sessions a
week coupled with a Glycemic index based eating plan - are the
natural - MBA approach to loosing body fat and returning you to your
natural state of health and fitness.
